I was sick and tired of having everything in one account its hard to keep track of what goes where and which catergory. Renos and Wii Fit

Heh heh, you can see some of my mangas on the shelf already...

So its another Sat night and I’m at home…can you say looser….Yes… Anywhoo we are in the middle of renovations, tonight I had to pick out my lamenates for my bedroom and for some reason that took till 8:30. This is what my room looks like right now… so I just went home after that and didn’t bother going out with anyone. Its slowly starting to come together. Monday the floor gets put in.

I chose this. Im not sure how well it goes but this seemed like the best choice that wasn’t super expensive… once my bed is in there you wont be able to see much of the floor anyways.

Other then all that. I’ve gone back to my Wii fit lately. I’ve been sorta in a book movie mood the last little while and I havn’t played my DS, Wii, Game cube or anything. My friend was the one who got me motived she sent me a link to this site its called http://www.wiifitroutine.com/. Its a really cool site, it gives you a work out based on your goals. I’ve been doing the 15 min easy work out to lose weight for about 4 days. I’ve lost about 3.5 pounds.

I think its worth a shot if you have Wii Fit. I not only do the Wii Fit I also run for 15 min after the first warm up and then I do a cool down after I run.

Fated to Love you

This is probably one of the best dramas I’ve watched to date. Just finished it this morning.

The story is like an alternate Cinderella story. It starts off with Chen Xin Yi “sticky note” girl. Every since she was little everyone has used her. Her mother wanted to abort her as a baby but kept her. Chen Xin Yi was over looked by everyone except her father who dies. Later, at the age of 28, everyone at work  gives her sticky notes with errands and chores for her to do. As to not make anyone unhappy in hopes that someone anyone would befriend her and remember her birthday she does everything they ask (hence the “sticky note girl” nick name)..

Someone eventually shows interest in her she doesn’t want to lose this chance, she takes him on a lovers cruise and decides to sleep with him to seal their fate as boyfriend and girlfriend. He is actually using her and ends up ditching her on the cruise. She is fairly dumb and oblivious and wants to sleep with him she goes back into the hotel room to waits for him but ends up going to the wrong room. As shes in the dark a man comes in, she believes its her boyfriend when  in fact its actually Ji Cun Xi the director of a huge soap company in China. Ji Cun Xi actually believes that Chen Xin Yi is his girlfriend Anna, he had planned to propose to her that night, and have his way with her, but Anna suddenly gets taken to New York with a ballet contract and she forgets to tell Ji Cun Xi. Ji Cun Xi and Chen Xin Yi end up making passionate love only to realise afterwards neither of them are the people they thought they were. He is extremely mad that this has happened but he soon sees that Chen Xin Yi is hurting a lot not only did she loose her virginity to a stranger but her boyfriend has dumped her to be with a woman he has just met on the cruise. Ji Cun Xi  helps her out that night and makes her the bell of the ball and embarrass her ex. A few weeks later Chen Xin Yi finds out that she is pregnant and as  “fate” would have it Chen Xin Yi works for a Lawyer and who elses Lawyer could it be but Ji Cun Xi they are reunited and he finds out about the pregnancy. Ji Cun Xi tells her he is going to take care of her and marry her at least untill the baby is born. By that time he hopes Anna will be able to accept this baby, forgive him (Anna still doesn’t know) and replace Chen Xin Yi with Anna as the mother. His grandma is in want of a grandchild  (since Anna was unwilling to have a child with him because of her career) to have the 10th heir descendant to the Soap company, and thinks Chen Xin Yi should stay always…..as time progresses Ji Cun Xi and Chen Xin Yi have grown closer but Anna has come back to be with him…

This had everything in it, it was perfect, really. Especially for this type of drama. I first started watching out of sheer boredom I thought I’d really want to stop watching it after the first 2 episodes but the story line really started to pick up. Some scenes are pretty funny. I hardly find things funny when other people think they are hilarious but I was LOLing all by myself watching this show. (really I just finished watching year one and I sat through that hardly making a sound but this show I was laughing pretty hard) I think even if this is a fairly unrealistic drama (not like any of them are) It touches on a lot of issues like abortion, one night stands, divorce, miscarriage, marriage, responsibility and true love. All exaggerated obviously. Of course this is like any other Asian drama and it has it’s really cheesy corny scenes (secretly I love it) but it was very smooth.  When I watch dramas I wonder why they are making such stupid decisions and leaving and not clearing up the situations that they are in but this one it makes(mostly) sence why he or she is doing what they are doing. Its kinda hard to explain. Every episode had a purpose. They didn’t overly drag out situations, like other dramas. I guess anyone from the age of 20-40 could relate to something in this movie divorce, love, marriage, miscarriages, babies, sex it’s all in there. I suppose its for a maturer audience since he tries to have sex with her a few times and they do actually have sex. So I wouldn’t really recommend something like this to a 13-year-old but older teens and adults would defiantly like something like this.

I give this 9.5/10. It’s so good. It really is I really like it except for Ethan Ruan (Ji Cun Xi) eyebrows…lol. i know he can’t help it,  some eyes brows are just un-fixable but really seriously

Hana Yori Dango

So this is the Japanese Version of the Show. The first season was made in 2005. The second in 2006. There is also a movie which I will watched later, I’m a little HYD’d out right now.

The Characters in this are:

Imasaka Akira-loves company of women 10 years older than him. Parents bosses in the Underground.

Nishikado Soujirouh-son and heir of the head of a tea ceremony school playboy and womanizer

Hanazawa Rui- son and heir of a big company cool and few words a mysterious member

Domyouji Tsukasa: some of the famous domyouji worldwide financial group f4 leader and an autocrat

This verson is pretty good I think mostly because of the acting. It wasn’t the best acting but I tought it was the best out of all the versions I’ve watched so far. The story basically flows like the rest of them do. Maybe changing a few scenes here and there like the “snow disater scene” is right at the end and theres no “almost rape scene” with Tsukasa in this one. I’d say this is a more PG version minus the Amercian gang guys swearing in it. I wasn’t to sure about that. Also to me maybe this was just me but I didn’t really feel the love connection with Hanazawa Rui and Makino as much as I did with the other versions. Season two he seemed totally more into her saying that he wouldn’t give up and stuff, but I mean he wasn’t trying very hard. Tsukasa tried to show exactly how he felt towards Makino while he just was kinda like ladeeda. Like I’ve said before the manga I’ve never read so I’m not sure how far he pursuses her in the Manga, in this version it seems like he likes her but would rather see her happy and protect her from afar. How come Rui never gets any girl at the end of all these series.  I deffinatly wasn’t dissapointed with this version. I actally can’t wait to watch it again. I think the actor Matsumoto Jun (Domyoji Tsukasa) is just sticken cute and the girl Inou Mao (Makino Tsukushi) looked kinda dull most of the time but she is actually very pretty. The rest of the cast well I have no comment. They were ok I guess I’ve seen Oguri Shun (Hanazawa Rui) before in Hana Kimi, and I didn’t think he was that great either. There was however the girl who play Todo Shizuka, Sada Mayumi what a beautiful woman.

Makinos family was very funny not as Funny as Shancai Parents in Meteor Gardens (but not as annoying either). Theres this one part where they are talking about Domyoji to Makino and her brother and father are chanting in the back ground “She’s hit the jackpot. She’s hit the jackpopt.” Also Makinos Boss at work is so funny she starts talking about all these men shes been with including peopls such as John Lennon, a Yukaza Member-Katsushika Shibamata (i don’t know who this is but Makino and Yuki looked shocked when she said the name) a wresteler, and even santas clauses raindeer. Makinos brother in this version is going through puberty the whole time and his voice is squeeky and its kinda funny.  And something I really didnt get was why they used the Harry Poter theme song the whole way through. Like it wasn’t exactly the hairy potter song note for note but it was pretty damn close i could tell. I think another reason why I really liked this one because when Tsukasa got frustrated he beat up people. It wasn’t just him beating up someone else. You actually felt sorry for him, in my opinion it showe how exeremtly unfair his life was and how frustrated he was with.  I didn’t like how they didn’t have a story for any of the other characters really. They do but its so minimal, its just kinda annoying because they cram it all in at the last second really, I dunno I would of liked to see it evolve much sooner. All in all I was happy with the ending it was good and I was glad it ended like that. I’d give this a 4/5 Awwwwness factor.

So I wrote a summary of each Episode below. It wasn’t really something that I was planning on doing but I knew I wouldn’t remember everything and I thought this way it would be a good reference. Even though I did this for my benefit I figure I would share it and put it up anyways. No need in reading it though.

Pride and Prejudice Marvel Comic?

I Think I may be the biggest geek in the world. I was looking up information on Pride and Prejudice the other day  and low and behold I found that Marvel comics is doing a 5 issue comic release of Pride and Prejudice. I’m heading to the biggest Comic book shop in Vancouver tomorrow to find this. It says it was in stores April 1 2009. (who knows maybe it was a joke) The writer is Nancy Petrus. Never heard of her but you know whatever.  Anyways I was so absolutely shocked when I saw this I just had to write about it. Apparently it stays very true to Jane Austens book.

Hana Yori Dango Anime

This is the first version that has come out for television. It started in 1996 and has 51 episodes. I found this so far to be the worst version. I know its an older Anime and I shouldn’t be so judgemental but, it really sucks. I hate the the actual cartoon look of it (something that turned me off the manga).

Boys Over Flowers

Boys Over Flowers Hana Yori Dango 流星花園, 花より男子- 꽃보다 男子 or 꽃보다 남자 The many names of one of the most popular drama series I have seen so far.  Its a Sunday night and I’m waiting around for 8 o’clock to come so I thought I should finally do a review.

My review however is not going to be a typical review. There are 5 different versions of the same show. I’ve only watched parts of each of them. (Minus the Korean one I’ve watched all of that so far.) I figure I’ll give you the main idea of what the story is about, then as I finish each series I will go into detail of what I liked about that one in particular series or what I hated about that series. To have it all on one entry would take far to long.

FYI I will not be giving names locations or any fine tuned detail in this blog. In each series the names, characters, places and situations are different. I will, however, explain the general setting and basis of the story.

There is a hard working, determined, but very stupid, working, poor ass girl. She has somehow gained entrance to one of the most elite schools in the Eastern world. The school is mostly made of rich snobby children. With in those snobby children are 4 guys (who call them selves the “F4-Flower Four”) who basically run the school. Their parents are very influential and rich. They donate a lot of money to the school, there for their children are allowed to do whatever they want. (example bully people, doesn’t have to wear school uniforms ..yadayada…) Shes determined to live out the rest of her high school life unnoticed by the rich families around her. One day however she sticks up for a girl who has accenditly troubled the leader of the F4. The next day she finds the “red notice in her locker”. In this school you do not want the “red notice’ This is to inform all the students that she is the new target. Everyone starts to bully her this is the F4’s revenge. She is very strong willed and will not give in easily. Almost 3 weeks go by with everyone in the school against her, eventually has enough and kicks the crap out of the leader. He is stunned no one has ever treated him like this before. He starts to get very interested in this poor girl. He plays practical jokes on her and becomes more and more infatuated with her…eventually…he starts feeling more towards her then this bully/friend relationship…..and that’s where I am going to stop. Basically is the jist of the story all the versions are very different.

My next review will be for Hana Yori Dango the Anime version.

Also an Interesting Fact. Hana Yori Dango is loosly baised off the Novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Pride and Prejudice being my all time favorite book I guess I will now have to read the Manga. No wonder I am so addicted to the Dramas. lol

Kinda bored right now

So I just got home. Really bored. I had a few shots with a few friends. Its my first time having greygoose vodka. I shot that. It went down really smooth. It was actually really nice. Before all the drinking I went to the driving range. That was really good. I really think I improved on my game. I think if I drank before had I would be better. but you know that didn’t happen cause we werent thinking. We went to Eagle quest. After 8 they give you 90 balls for the same price as 60. I was hitting most of them pretty well. They were actually getting out there instead of just failing just infront of me. I was using a 9. I dunno what a nine does but right now its the only one I can really get the hang of. I think I might go again on Sunday. but we will see. Anyways I am now home. I’m just really tired and a litte smashed. But still good..haha. Not like really smashed but just a little….Ok Just thought I’d do an update. love you bye bye… I am thinking about watching Boys Before Flowers right now but I dont know how fast I can read the words. heh…Ok nighty.
